We believe healing is most effective when insight and embodiment work together. By integrating mindfulness, breathwork, and body-based techniques into psychotherapy, we help clients move beyond understanding alone toward meaningful, lived transformation.
“Alex holds the most wonderful embodied presence. I always felt safe and deeply held.”
This often isn’t a lack of insight. It’s the result of subconscious belief systems and nervous system responses shaped by past experiences—patterns that continue operating automatically, long after the original threat has passed.
When these protective responses stay active, the nervous system remains on alert. Emotional experience can feel either overwhelming or distant. Confidence fluctuates. Patterns persist, even when you “know better.”
At Ritualize, we work directly with these deeper layers—supporting the brain and body in developing new pathways of safety, agency, and self-trust—so change becomes integrated into how you think, feel, and move through your life.
You may understand your patterns intellectually, yet still feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in cycles that don’t seem to shift.
If this resonates, you’re not alone.
the signature phases
01
We begin by slowing down and developing awareness through reflective conversation. This phase focuses on noticing patterns—how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors have formed, and how they show up in your life now. Rather than rushing toward change, we create space to understand what has been shaping your experience.
This lays the groundwork for meaningful work ahead, helping you build clarity without pressure and develop a more compassionate relationship with what you’re noticing.
phase one
02
As awareness deepens, the body is gently invited into the process. Somatic practices are introduced to support nervous system regulation and the release of stored tension, always at a pace your system can tolerate.
This is where change begins to move beyond insight alone. Sensations, emotions, and responses that were once held or guarded can start to shift as the body learns it is safe to do so. Integration happens gradually—through felt experience rather than effort.
phase two
03
In the final phase, the focus turns toward sustaining what has shifted. We work with practices that support continuity beyond sessions, helping new patterns become more accessible in daily life.
Rather than “maintaining progress,” this phase is about embodiment—learning how to inhabit your life with greater agency, confidence, and self-trust. What was once practiced intentionally begins to feel more natural, woven into how you relate to yourself and the world.
phase three

want to test the waters first?
There was a time when I felt deeply disconnected from my body—exhausted, burnt out, and searching for solutions that insight alone couldn’t provide. That experience shaped how I approach my work today.
Originally trained as a psychotherapist, I came to recognize the importance of integrating the body into the therapeutic process. I pursued advanced education in neuroscience and extensive training in somatic practices to support meaningful, sustainable change.
