an approach rooted in embodiment, depth and integration

does this sound familiar?

Stress, overwhelm, trauma and past experiences may have taught your body to stay alert, numb, or on hold. Over time, this disconnection can begin to feel normal, even as something in you quietly resists it. You may understand why you feel the way you do, but still struggle to feel fully alive in your body, your emotions, or your relationships. Insight alone hasn’t translated into lasting change—not because you’re doing something wrong, but because many of these patterns live below conscious awareness, in the nervous system and subconscious mind.

What’s often missing is not effort, but a way back into the body, at a pace that feels safe enough to stay.

At some point, coping became a way of life. You may feel functional, insightful, and capable—yet inwardly flat, tense, or disconnected.

Rooted in the understanding that lasting change occurs through the subconscious nervous system, this approach supports patterns of safety, connection, and self-trust at the level where they are formed. It is designed for clients who are not looking to be fixed, optimized, or endlessly analyzed—but who want to reclaim emotional range, internal power and a felt sense of self they can trust. Often, the clients drawn to this work are high-functioning, thoughtful, and deeply self-aware, yet feel disconnected from their bodies, emotions, or sense of vitality. Stress, overwhelm, or past experiences may have shaped ways of coping that once helped, but now feel limiting or numbing.

Ritualize is for those who feel a quiet pull toward reconnection—for a fuller experience of themselves, their relationships, and their lives.

Ritualize offers a depth-oriented, embodied approach to psychotherapy

for those who are ready to move beyond survival and into integration.

"The body is always working for us - never against us."

What we often experience as symptoms—anxiety, numbness, tension and shutdown are adaptive responses shaped by stress, overwhelm, and past experiences. These responses are learned and stored at a subconscious level—shaped by the brain’s need to protect and regulate. At one point, these patterns helped you cope. However, over time, they may begin to limit how fully you feel, connect, or live. Rather than trying to eliminate symptoms, this approach listens to them. The body holds information that the mind alone cannot access, and it moves toward integration when it feels safe enough to do so.

This is why change cannot be rushed or forced. When the body is met with patience, attunement, and respect, it begins to soften its defenses allowing the nervous system to update and reorganize. Sensation returns. Emotional range widens. New responses become possible—not through effort, but through reorganization.

Symptoms are not failures. They are signals from the body pointing toward what is ready to heal.

A felt sense of safety, confidence, and connection cannot be reached through insight alone. Ultimately, it is shaped through the subconscious—through repeated experiences of regulation, presence, and embodiment. These experiences are lived in the body. This work draws from neuroscience, psychodynamic understanding, and embodied psychotherapy. It rests on the understanding that past experiences—particularly those that were overwhelming or unresolved—do not simply disappear. They continue to live in the body, shaping how you experience safety, closeness, and yourself in the present.

Talking and reflection are an essential part of this work. They are not bypassed here.

But at the same time, they are only one layer of healing. Conversation alone primarily engages the conscious mind.

What working together looks like...

Sessions move between reflection and direct embodied experience, gently engaging the subconscious patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and the world. We talk, make meaning, and explore patterns—while also staying close to what is happening in the body. Attention is given to sensation, emotion, and relational responses as they arise, rather than moving past them or analyzing them away.

The pace is collaborative and responsive. Care is taken to work within what your system can tolerate and trust, allowing the process to unfold without pressure or force. There is no expectation to arrive with a clear narrative or to move quickly toward resolution. Over time, this steady, attuned way of working creates the conditions for change to emerge organically—through presence, continuity, and integration that can be carried beyond the therapy room.

This work begins slowly, emphasizing depth over speed.

We may be a good fit if...

You’re drawn to working at a slower, more intentional pace, and value depth over quick fixes.

You’re open to exploring both conversation and embodied experience as part of the therapeutic process.

You’re tired of approaches that focus only on coping or managing symptoms, and are seeking something deeper and more integrated.

Stress, overwhelm, or past experiences have left you feeling tense, numb, or disconnected—even if things “look fine” on the outside.

You feel capable and insightful, yet sense a gap between understanding yourself and feeling fully present in your body and life.

Why work with ritualize?

You don't have to do this alone. We offer a slower, embodied approach to feeling more connected, steady, and alive in your daily life.

Doesn't that sound like a breath of fresh air?

Not located in New York, or looking for one-off wellness sessions?

*DISCLAIMER: as stand-alone services, these are not intended to treat any mental health diagnoses. To keep clinically licensed services protected, all psychotherapy services are conducted under our sister company that is held within Ritualize: Mind Body Psychotherapy LCSW PC.

The session is conducted via video, typically done while laying down flat on your back as you go through a very active breath. There is music playing while I also use my voice to guide you into a meditation. I also offer this for couples and events. Please reach out for a custom quote.

What does it entail?

This practice combines a rhythmic breath designed to activate the nervous system, release stored emotional tension, and open pathways to deeper embodiment. There is a verbal release integrated throughout, where you "yell" into a pillow, as well as guided meditation at the end.

Sessions are conducted via video and typically done seated with eyes closed, as you’re guided inward to explore the body’s subtle cues and sensations. This work can stand alone as a single session or be integrated into a longer-term, progressive practice.

What does it entail?

Rooted in principles of somatic experiencing, our guided embodiment sessions support reconnection with the body’s innate intelligence by gently bringing awareness to internal sensations and emotional states. This process can help surface and safely process suppressed emotions, or cultivate desired states by reorienting the nervous system.

A few common questions we get about our therapy services

Do I have to be located in a specific state to receive therapy services?

Yes! While all of our session are currently being done virtually, we are licensed to provide therapy for those located in New York State only.

We run and operate two separate business entities within our wellness center: Ritualize LLC (which is for all of our wellness-based services) as well as our sister company, Mind Body Psychotherapy LCSW PC (which is for all of our psychotherapy services). For those looking to receive any of our one-off wellness services (without receiving therapy), you are able to be located anywhere across the globe. With that said, it's imperative to note: for those solely receiving stand-alone wellness services, these services will not be done with the intent to actively treat any mental health diagnoses, though can still be great for supplemental care and wellness.

Do you take insurance?

For our therapy services, we are currently out-of-network providers with all insurances. If your insurance has out-of-network benefits, you may be entitled to a 50-90% reimbursement.

You’ll have access to all billing documents anytime you need them through your personal client login to our secure online office. By request, you will also receive monthly statements emailed directly to you for convenience, which you can use to personally submit a claim.

For all wellness services, there is no option to have these reimbursed by your insurance.

Do you offer a sliding scale or reduced-fee sessions?

We believe in making therapy accessible, while also adequately compensating our therapists to be able to take on less clients, provide higher quality care, and prevent burn-out. We offer a limited number of spots at a significantly reduced rate of $65. As you can imagine, these spots fill up quickly. At the moment, all slots are currently booked.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the length of one's therapy journey, we don't keep a waitlist, but we will announce both here on our website, as well as our social media pages when a new spot opens up. We are excited to expand the team, because each therapist will be required to have a certain number of reduced-fee spots, so the more therapists we have, the more spots that will be available!

What should I expect during my initial session with my therapist?

During your first session together, your therapist will spend time getting to know you and what you’d like to work on in therapy. In addition to gaining information about what’s happening presently in your life, they will ask some questions about your personal history for more context. Your therapist will also leave time at the end of the session to answer questions and discuss the logistics of future visits.
